Balancing The Economy (Phase 1)

68 posts in this topic

In the past few weeks, we have heard your concerns regarding the server economy. The staff team had come up with a plan and give it a shot to fix the game's economy.

Here's the first phase of the upcoming changes that we are planning to implement, and we would like to hear your opinions first before doing so.

  • Price list for the Donation Items - In an attempt to alleviate the price of the Donation Items, we came up with an idea to maintain a document that would provide the suggested price of the Donation Items. This would give non-donators, and especially new players a chance at owning these exclusive items.

  • Lower the Zeny rewards in Token Shop - The Treasure Hunter quests is by far the easiest way to earn quick bucks in the game. We felt that this shouldn't be the case since it requires minimal effort and it greatly overshadows the alternative features - Mining and Gold Room. By reducing the Zeny rewards in the THQ shop, we hope that the alternatives would be used more often.

Good first few steps to stabilizing and balancing the economy. The suggested price will definitely help unsure players of the price of the goods they're purchasing or selling so they don't over pay or undersell and minimizing profits of BNS tactics. Can't wait to see it in effect

As long as it gets updated from time to time then I'd agree with this.

Should've been done a long time ago but hoping it would save the economy.

Lowering the zeny in the token quest should be the first step. The overall suggestion looks good.

Definatly a +1

Looking forward to the positive effects of this. Hoping that the prices will go down somehow because the market's not flowing that much anymore. This will be the start of a brighter future of the game.

Putting the price of DT items back from old prices would be good, but still its the sellers choice if he/she would sell the items or just keep it for his own use or collection. Buyers will get a very hard time buying items now.

The only way i can think to burn the zeny is what we have now the Lotti, BUT make the prizes more Worthy so players will get interested to do Lotti. At the moment if u spend 1b and you JUST gonna get a 30ygg box, till like 10 tries and keep getting low conso, players seems getting so broke and quit trying again. Conso prizes could be USABLE items so it wont affect the economy of donation items again.

Putting credits like 15b in enchantero per enchant of armor makes also a lot of credit burn for sure, since it is the same as the price of enchant scroll and 15b is not that easy to earn. Many players wanted to enchant their equipments to make them stronger but supply and hoarding of mithrils are one of the problem.

This will make a shortage in supply of donate items, of course donators will not sell this items at a low price knowing that the price is really dowm compared from few days ago, hmm... then the demand will go high, and in the end the buyer will just buy it according to the seller's price.

If so, and this price will be implemented and finalized

Pls include the real prices for, not only donate items, but also the refined equipments and enchanted ones like,

1. Armor Enchant Scrolls

2. +5 ~ +10 Equipments

3. +5 ~ +10 Weapons (Especially Ica & Df Weapons)

4. Bonus Pts

5. Donate Pts

6. Rare Cards (Including Lhz Decks)

But I had a doubt on this... prices will not be accurately followed 100%... the law of supply and demand will still pierce right through..

More supply : less demand = will lead to low price ranges

Less supply : more demand = of course to higher price ranges

Kudos!

This would be nice if chances of enchanting will become like

+1 ~ 90%'ish

+2 ~ 70%'ish

+3 ~ 50%'ish

This way ppl will start to burn their credits into enchanting.

The problem with this system is AES/Pure prices will drop and less people would need it. Therefore Demand would be low and supply would be high. But maybe rescaling would be a good thing, maybe:

+1: 85%

+2: 45%

+3: 20%

So it makes it a bit easier while still keeping it hard enough for the need of AES/Pure. I think +3 being anything higher then 25% is way too much.

Meaning, the original price of DT items will turn back to normal (1~2 months ago).

For example:

  • 10DT = 15~20B
  • 20DT = 30~35B
  • 30DT = 45~60B
  • 40DT = 65~80B
  • 50DT = 75~90B
  • 60DT(Sets) = 110~130B
  • 100DT = 200~250B

We are hoping that all players who are reading in this thread can understand the current situation of our server economy. So, for the sake of new players, economy and our beloved server health; we will help each other to keep our server on top.

Once we implement the plan, one of the staff will make a thread for item price range. Then all OP sellers and fake buy and seller will be sanctioned.

+1 😁

That would make the mining system obsolete then because instead of wasting time buying AES, people could just throw in their credits to enchantero and get the same results. This could be considered if the staff would lower the success rate for enchanting with creds. The AES enchanting could be increased a little bit so that it players would be more enticed with the mining system.

Maybe the enchantero can be an event where she is around for a week for people to dump excess credit into it to reduce the credit saturation.

Maybe people will sell it less cheaper than the price of npc like around 14b. It wont make it obsolete because people who dont wanna expend 15b will farm for their own, especially when there will be shortage in credits.

*If a player badly need credits, he will sell his items more cheaper than other's prices*
